Privacy Policy
KinCue works without an account. Most relationship data stays on your device. This policy explains when data leaves your device and how you control it.
1Data stored on this device
Names, relationship details, phone numbers, important dates, preferences, notes, interaction history, and photos you add are stored in KinCue on your device unless you choose to export, delete, or back them up.
2Permissions you choose
KinCue uses only the contact you choose through Apple’s contact picker, photos you select, and notification permission for local reminders. You can change permissions in the Settings app.
3Optional iCloud backup
A manual backup is created only when you request it and is saved in your private iCloud Drive storage under your Apple Account. KinCue does not keep a separate server copy.
4Apple subscriptions
Apple processes purchases and payments. KinCue receives product information and verified subscription status, but not your full payment card details.
5Usage analytics
Release builds use Firebase Analytics to collect an app-instance identifier, coarse location derived from a masked IP address, subscription product and purchase events, and interactions with KinCue+ purchase and restore flows. These analytics events are associated with an app installation but not with names, phone numbers, contacts, notes, photos, or relationship records. KinCue uses them to understand feature usage and improve the app, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. Google retains event-level Analytics data according to the Firebase project’s configured retention settings.
6App diagnostics
Release builds use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash logs and limited device, OS, app-version, and diagnostic information. It is not linked to your relationship records or used for advertising or tracking. Firebase generally retains crash reports for 90 days.
7No selling, ads, or tracking
KinCue does not sell or rent personal data, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Apple provides iCloud and subscriptions; Google provides only the usage analytics and crash diagnostics described above.
8Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you remove it or delete KinCue. Delete manual backups from iCloud Drive, manage subscriptions in your Apple Account, and control any export through Apple’s share sheet.
9Questions and rights
Because KinCue has no account and does not receive your relationship records, you can delete them directly on your device and in iCloud Drive. For privacy questions, use the Support link on KinCue’s App Store page.
